The third Advances in Quantum Gravity conference is underway, at the Pacific Science Institute, Maui. So far, there have been illuminating talks by Cohl Furey, Garrett Lisi and Alessio Marrani. There seems to be glimmers of higher gauge theory in the air, with an infinite ascent into an ultimate motivic correspondence.

Dragonfly 44: A Large Galaxy of Dark Matter
An ultra-diffuse galaxy (UDG) called Dragonfly 44 was observed by the Keck II telescope, consisting mostly of dark matter. It is roughly the size of our Milky Way galaxy and certainly not fully described by the standard model of particle physics. What could such a dark galaxy be made of? Cast your votes.

AQG 2016
It is once again time for AQG. Quantum gravity researchers invade the silicon valley. The synthesis will be quite potent. From Tannakian categories and motivic L-functions, to Shimura Varieties and exceptional gradings, let the games begin.
